
Kamala Allen, Ph.D., is a therapist and educator who has specialized in conscious intimate relationships for the last 42 years. Dr. Allen received her doctoral degree in clinical psychology in 1987 from California Institute of Integral Studies. She had private practices as a licensed clinical psychologist and a licensed marriage, family and child therapist in Hawaii, San Diego and San Francisco. She is also a certified substance abuse counselor (CADAC-II) and a certified EMDR practitioner.
Dr. Allen is the author of "A Woman's Guide to Opening a Man's Heart," a compassionate approach to conscious relating with self and others, and has taught national and international workshops on the subject. In her personal life, she trained as a tantric adept under several well-known teachers, and as an intuitive, energetic healer under various shamans. She was a mentor in the Waking Down in Mutuality organization, which is dedicated to healing the spirit-matter split and assisting individuals in awakening to embodied consciousness.
